We made Between Two Waves with what we had: a house full of history, a handful of people, and a whole lot of heart. It was filmed in just 13 days in the Pennsylvania countryside where I grew up, inside my cousin’s house, with a crew small enough to fit around a dinner table. My husband Mark and I co-directed it while raising our 5-year-old daughter (who was 3 at the time of production), and like most indie filmmakers, we wore way too many hats to count.
